About Eva Jeanne Markosky
Along with studying environmental engineering at Pennsylvania State University, Eva Jeanne Markosky participates in a number of outdoors and athletic activities. In the wintertime, she enjoys alpine skiing on Gore Mountain in North Creek, New York, while in the more clement times of the year she goes whitewater rafting on the Youghiogheny River. An experienced markswoman with both firearms and bow and arrow, Eva Jeanne Markosky hunts whitetail deer, squirrel, pheasant, and turkey, and competes in clay and pistol shooting events.
While a high school student, Ms. Markosky ran track and played on the softball and volleyball teams. Currently, she remains fit by running and practicing various aerobic exercises. Together with her friends and family, she takes part in Mud Runs and other obstacle course-based racing challenges. As a spectator she enjoys watching the Penn State Nittany Lions as well as Pittsburgh’s professional franchises.
When not at school, Ms. Markosky contributes to her hometown community. As an assistant to the youth pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church, she leads after-school groups for middle and high school students.
